Geneva does brunch better than its reputation suggests, and the city’s split personality, part international hotel capital, part French-Swiss bistro town, gives it the most varied brunch scene in Switzerland. So when people ask me for the best brunch in Geneva, my first question is what kind of Sunday they want. On a single weekend morning you can choose a CHF 165 unlimited-Champagne palace-hotel buffet at Beau-Rivage, a CHF 28 specialty-coffee-and-pancakes affair at Birdie, an Eaux-Vives natural-wine brunch at Oh Martine, or a CHF 9 croissant-and-flat-white from any of half a dozen specialty roasters. The trick is matching the brunch to the morning.
This is my 2026 guide to the 12 best brunch spots in Geneva, reviewed against current menus and prices and grouped by format (buffet, a la carte, bottomless, casual specialty) and occasion. The best room, the best value, the best coffee, the best for kids, or the most outrageous Champagne brunch in Switzerland: every venue below is verified for the 2026 season. For the wider scene, start with my Geneva food guide and the best cafes in Geneva.

Luxury hotel brunches
1. Sunday Brunch by Beau-Rivage
The reference luxury Sunday brunch in Geneva and the booking that fills first every weekend. The Beau-Rivage, the 19th-century lakefront palace that has hosted every kind of head of state, serves its signature Sunday brunch in the historic Atrium dining room, designed by chef Mathieu Croze with pastry by Kevin Ollivier. The format is buffet plus live cooking stations: a serious oyster and shellfish bar, a roasted-meat carving station, a dim-sum corner, a pastry table that is essentially a Genevan patisserie shop, and Champagne (Pommery) flowing throughout.
Price: CHF 165 per adult, CHF 75 per child (6 to 12), free under 6. Champagne, wines and soft drinks included. Service 12:00 to 15:00 Sundays; reservations open 30 days ahead and book out 7 to 10 days early in season.
Book for: a special-occasion Sunday, a birthday, an anniversary, or a single splurge on a multi-day Geneva trip. Save space for the cheese trolley, the best in any Geneva hotel buffet.
2. Hotel President Wilson, Sunday Brunch
The other big-room hotel Sunday brunch, and the one with the view. Hosted in the hotel’s panoramic restaurant overlooking Lake Leman and the Jet d’Eau, the President’s Sunday brunch (CHF 145, a little less than Beau-Rivage) is a buffet-and-live-station format with strong shellfish and a small Asian station alongside the European spreads. The Bayview kitchen team (Michelin-starred under chef Danny Khezzar, see my Geneva fine dining guide) supervises the savoury cooking.
Service 12:00 to 15:00 Sundays. House Champagne, wines and soft drinks included. Children’s pricing under CHF 80.
Book for: a Sunday brunch where the view matters as much as the food. Request a window table; the Jet d’Eau is visible through nearly every window in the dining room.
3. Living Room Bar & Kitchen, Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix
The classier, less stressful alternative to a full hotel buffet. The Ritz-Carlton’s Living Room serves an a la carte brunch on Saturday and Sunday (11:30 to 15:30): eggs benedict (CHF 32), avocado toast on Bressou sourdough (CHF 26), a serious smoked-salmon plate (CHF 38), and all-you-can-eat from the pastry trolley for a flat CHF 18.
The setting is one of the most beautiful brunch rooms in Geneva; the Hotel de la Paix is the 1865 grand hotel on Quai du Mont-Blanc with parquet floors, chandeliers and lake views through the front windows. A la carte means you pay for what you order, typically CHF 60 to 90 a head.
Book for: a smart brunch that does not require the energy or appetite of a full buffet.
4. InterContinental Geneva, Sunday Brunch
The most family-friendly of the big hotel Sunday brunches and the one with the most consistent seafood programme. Buffet format with a generous shellfish bar (oysters, lobster, langoustines), a Japanese station (sushi, sashimi, makis), a French roast carvery, and a children’s section with mac-and-cheese and brioche perdu. CHF 135 per adult, CHF 65 per child (6 to 12), free under 6. Service 12:30 to 15:30.
Book for: a Sunday family brunch where the kids’ menu actually matters.
5. Le Bar des Bergues, Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues
Not a brunch in the buffet sense but a serious daily a la carte breakfast that runs into late morning, and many Genevans’ favourite hotel weekend ritual. The format is breakfast classics at Four Seasons precision: shakshuka (CHF 28), avocado and eggs (CHF 32), an excellent Swiss cheese plate (CHF 24), and the best hotel pastries in town from the in-house pastry chef. The coffee programme is strong, but the lake-view terrace is the reason to go.
Open 06:30 to 11:30 daily; weekend service extends to 12:30. A la carte CHF 35 to 80 a head.
Book for: a slow Saturday breakfast with a view, when you want hotel quality without committing to a four-hour buffet.

The best a la carte brunch spots
6. Oh Martine, Eaux-Vives
The cool kids’ brunch. Oh Martine sits on a quiet Eaux-Vives street and serves the best third-wave-coffee-plus-brunch programme in the canton. The menu is short and deliberate, six savoury plates, four sweet, all built from seasonal ingredients sourced at Plainpalais market. The signature Martine’s eggs (poached eggs on sourdough with seasonal greens and a flat-leaf parsley salsa verde, CHF 26) is the consensus order; the housemade granola with rotating fruit (CHF 18) is the lighter choice.
Coffee is from Boreal and another Swiss roaster on rotation. A small natural wine list lets brunch stretch into a lazy lakeside Sunday. Service Saturday and Sunday 09:00 to 15:00; reservations strongly recommended for Sunday.
Book for: a Sunday brunch for two adults who care about coffee and good cooking, in a small room with no pressure to leave.
7. Max Restaurant, Paquis
The neighbourhood a la carte brunch on the right bank, two blocks from the lake. Max keeps the menu classic-with-a-twist: eggs benedict (CHF 28) with house-cured ham, the Conches Croque (croque-monsieur made with Conches-valley raclette, CHF 24), buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup (CHF 22), and a serious bloody mary (CHF 16). The room is sun-filled and informal, the staff young and helpful, the WiFi reliable.
Service Saturday and Sunday 10:00 to 15:00. A la carte CHF 35 to 55 a head with coffee.
Book for: a Paquis-walking Sunday, brunch at Max, then the Bains des Paquis, then a coffee at My Little Cup.
8. La Paire, Eaux-Vives
The other Eaux-Vives a la carte address. La Paire opens both Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 with a Mediterranean-leaning brunch menu: shakshuka (CHF 24), labneh-and-zaatar plates (CHF 26), grain bowls (CHF 22), an excellent rose list from southern France. Service is friendly, the room is bright, and the courtyard terrace in summer is the neighbourhood’s most-loved.
Book for: a weekend brunch when you want something a degree warmer than classic French breakfasts.

Casual and specialty cafe brunch
9. Birdie Food & Coffee, Plainpalais
The specialty-coffee brunch institution. Birdie bakes its own bread, makes its own granola, and serves the best flat white in Geneva (CHF 6) alongside a tight brunch menu: avocado toast (CHF 18), eggs benedict (CHF 22), Birdie banana bread (CHF 7), bowls of granola with seasonal fruit (CHF 14). No reservations, first come first served, so arrive by 09:30 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Closes at 17:00; cash and card. Sister cafe Birdie 2 in Charmilles is bigger and slightly easier to walk into.
Queue for: the classic Geneva specialty-coffee brunch experience.
10. Le Cafe du Centre, Place du Molard
The traditional Genevan breakfast. Founded in 1933 in the Belle Epoque room on Place du Molard, Cafe du Centre serves a proper old-style breakfast: croissants from in-house, butter and jam on a silver tray, a soft-boiled egg with toast soldiers, a serious hot chocolate (CHF 8), and an espresso programme that has not changed in decades. Not a brunch in the contemporary sense, but a serious classical breakfast in one of the most beautiful rooms in Geneva.
Service daily from 07:30; weekend mornings the room fills with regulars by 09:00. A la carte CHF 18 to 35.
Book for: a Sunday morning that needs a sense of occasion without the buffet investment.
11. Buvette des Bains, Bains des Paquis
The lakeside breakfast institution and the best CHF 15 you can spend on a Geneva morning. The Bains des Paquis cafe serves a simple breakfast, croissants, tartines with butter and jam (CHF 6), an oeuf-au-plat (CHF 9), the famous Buvette fondue at lunch, on a wooden deck looking straight at the Jet d’Eau. Coffee CHF 3.50, breakfast plate around CHF 15. Cash only; open 07:00 to 22:00 every day of the year. For more budget ideas, see my cheap eats in Geneva guide.
No booking needed: the most photogenic, most affordable breakfast in Geneva. Worth a 30-minute walk from any city hotel.

The best bottomless and Drunch options
12. Hotel Tiffany, the Drunch
The trademark Geneva bottomless brunch. Hotel Tiffany, a small boutique hotel in the banking district, runs a Saturday and Sunday Drunch service from 11:00 to 16:00 with unlimited Prosecco, mimosas and bloody marys for a flat additional CHF 35 on top of the food order. The a la carte food menu is solid (eggs benedict CHF 24, avo toast CHF 22) and the room is cosy, a small set of 10 to 20 tables that fill mostly with locals.
Reservations essential; the Prosecco supplement applies for a maximum of three hours from your arrival.
Book for: a Saturday-into-afternoon brunch with a group of friends who want bottomless without the hotel-buffet formality.
Other bottomless options to know
- Beau-Rivage Sunday Brunch β Champagne is included in the CHF 165, effectively bottomless within the three-hour service.
- Hotel President Wilson β same, house Champagne included in CHF 145.
- InterContinental Sunday Brunch β wines included in CHF 135.
- Champagne add-on packages β many Geneva brunch spots offer these, typically CHF 35 to 55 per person on top of the food bill. Confirm when booking.

Choosing a brunch by occasion
For a special-occasion Sunday
Beau-Rivage. The Atrium room, the Champagne, the Croze-Ollivier kitchen make for the most generous Sunday morning in Geneva. CHF 165 well spent if the day matters.
For a brunch with the best view
Hotel President Wilson Sunday Brunch (lake-and-Jet d’Eau windows), or Le Bar des Bergues at the Four Seasons terrace if you want a la carte instead of buffet.
For the best coffee
Oh Martine or Birdie. Both run specialty-coffee programmes that match third-wave Paris or London.
For a brunch with kids
InterContinental Sunday (best kids’ buffet section), or Max Restaurant for a la carte (informal, no pressure). Beau-Rivage and President Wilson welcome children, but the format suits older kids who can sit through 90 minutes.
For bottomless drinks
Hotel Tiffany’s Drunch (unlimited Prosecco) is the dedicated format; the big-hotel Sunday brunches include Champagne in the price.
For a hangover brunch
Max Restaurant for the eggs benedict and a bloody mary; Buvette des Bains for the oeuf au plat and lakefront fresh air.
For an under-CHF 30 brunch
Buvette des Bains (CHF 15), Birdie (CHF 18 to 24), or Cafe du Centre (a la carte CHF 18 to 25).

Practical brunch tips
Book early in season. Beau-Rivage, President Wilson and InterContinental fill 7 to 10 days ahead for Sunday service. Smaller a la carte spots (Oh Martine, La Paire) need 2 to 3 days for prime tables.
Buffets reward late starters. Geneva hotel brunches typically run 12:00 to 15:00; book 12:00 to attack the buffet at full strength, or 13:30 if you would rather drift in for the pastry trolley.
A la carte runs longer. Most a la carte spots take last orders around 14:30 to 15:00; specialty cafes often stop earlier (Birdie closes at 17:00, but the kitchen slows after 14:30).
The Drunch has time limits. Unlimited Prosecco services have a three-hour cap; confirm the start time of the bottomless service when booking.
Saturday versus Sunday. The big-hotel buffets are Sunday-only. Saturday is the day for a la carte (Living Room, Oh Martine, La Paire, Max).
Brunch is dressy in Geneva. Smart-casual works everywhere; jeans and trainers feel out of place at Beau-Rivage and President Wilson. Living Room and Cafe du Centre are more relaxed.
Tipping: service is included. Round up the bill on a la carte; CHF 5 to 10 per person on a buffet bill is appreciated.
